A land development team with over 35 years of successful real estate development projects purchased 95 acres in Medina County, the site of historic Chippewa Lake Amusement Park. The developers, retaining the hundred-year-old name, had planned a world-class resort to include Tatami Japanes suites, boathouses, 5-star restaurants, a Hilton hotel, a wellness center, a culinary institute and all the acoutrements that go along with recreation and rejuvenation. After rigorous competition with other ad agencies and marketing groups, the development team opted to select another firm and chose to move forward with the logo labeled "before."

The Caler&Company design team quickly went to work to persuade the developers that they may made a hasty decision. In three days and after much research, Caler&Company discovered that the "dream catcher" was authentically conjured by the Chippewa people. Hence, a new position was born to pay homage to the indigenous Americans who came before and a promise to guests that they, too, will "Catch a Dream" at Chippewa Landing. The new logo quickly became a respected icon for representing this emerging brand in the resort industry.
