Child Guidance & Family Solutions

After facilitating a rigorous Caler&Company "Jump Start" process with a selected team of senior staff at Akron Child Guidance Centers, many ideas were reviewed and considered. The organization was merging with Family Solutions and a new name – Child Guidance & Family Solutions – had been selected as the new dba. A new logo was now required to effectively telegraph the positive qualities of the merged agencies – one, an expert in treating children, the other treating families and adults with mental healthcare services.

The newly designed "weave" pattern was created to serve as a symbol of diversity. Six unique "threads", all of different lengths, thickness and color, become stronger as they cohesively unite, forming a "safety net" for those who desparately require treatment. Caler&Company succinctly positioned the merged organization with "Weaving together the fabric of family." The new brand icon was not only well-received by the merged agencies' client base and referral sources, it also helped unify the cultures of the two agencies into one, unified presence in Summit County, to successfully represent mental health treatment to families, adults, children, teens, schools and support community partners.
